Lorraine Pereira, BA
Medical Student, Harvard Medical School
Lorraine holds a B.A. in Public Health and a minor in Global Poverty and Practice from the University of California, Berkeley. In her undergraduate years, she served unhoused women and children, historically underserved youth, and other structurally vulnerable populations in the Bay Area through leading service-learning programs, innovating public health interventions using human-centered design, and conducting community-based participatory research. Upon graduating and joining Dr. Dzeng’s research team as a research assistant, she began to understand how her goals of becoming a physician and community-based participatory researcher could dovetail and synergize. In her free time, Lorraine enjoys procuring and mailing vintage postcards, observing scenery through train windows, preparing colorful meals, and gabbing about her home state of Iowa. She currently resides in Boston, where she is a medical student at Harvard Medical School.
