Prior to medical school, Jason worked as a teacher in low-income Los Angeles public high schools and in the bioethics department of a community hospital. He brings these experiences to his current work on substantial challenges in communication, decision-making, and bioethics that are routinely faced by providers in critical care -- with a specific focus on perioperative patients and patients who require mechanical circulatory support.
