Dr. Sun currently practices in the department of Hospice and Palliative Care/Geriatrics and Extended Care at the Veterans Affairs Long Beach Healthcare System, is a Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine and involved in residency mentorship with the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. She holds board certifications in Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She greatly enjoys teaching and takes part in various lecture series including serving as primary faculty for the VitalTalk Serious Illness Communication Training Course. She has a strong commitment to advancing care for older adults living with life-limiting illness, particularly at the end of life. Some of her personal interests include exploring art and architecture, violin and piano, binging sci-fi shows, being in nature and spending time with her twin boys.
